You can definitely expect a lot of programs and fun things to do here on campus. We have our annual spring concert. Athletic games are really popular-- a lot of school spirit, especially the football games, or homecoming game, the basketball games, they're like my favorite. It's just great being in the gym and kind of being all close together and connected as one community so. There's a lot of things to get involved with, and the student life is very busy here at Assumption. We're provided a lot of classes to take that kind of expand our horizons, which helps students communicate better and learn a lot about soft skills, as well as hard skills, and technical skills for a career. There's also a lot of resources on campus and offices that are here to help you. From campus ministry, counseling, health services, student activities--There's always something to do on campus Assumption supports their students in so many ways. When it comes to the well being of students here at Assumption, everybody counts, and everybody matters. And every student's important to us so we want to see them succeed. I like to think that my office is Grand Central Station with students coming and going. Whether it's to ask a question or just to pop in and say you're having a rough day, my doors always open. The Catholic Faith says that human beings are not just things, we are open to the world. And we kind of transcend ourselves in being ordered towards knowing the world and wanting to know the truth and to loving beauty-- that there's some feature of the human soul that is kind of fulfilled in our experience of those things. And so when someone sets up a Catholic school, you know, like Assumption sets itself up as a Catholic school. It's not saying that all students have to be Catholic. The idea is that it's going to treat every student like a human being-- like a human person. We want to treat you like a whole human being, like a person who is going to be fulfilled by knowing things, by doing good in the world, and by appreciating beautiful things. One of the best events I think on campus is our Duck Day. Our annual ducks come and they walk the red carpet, and all around the pond our students in their duck hats, and in then their yellow shirts, and it just brings a sense of that we're all here together. We're truly a one of a kind unique community. Everybody here is here for one another, and hounds truly help hounds.
