I have to say that choosing Assumption has definitely been one of the best decisions I've ever made. When I was going through the search process for colleges, I definitely wanted a small school-- a tight knit community. I wanted to develop really close connections with faculty and administration-- and kind of get to know students well on campus. And assumption has definitely done that for me. They've made me feel like a student. They make me feel invested in my future. And I definitely don't feel like a statistic or a number, which is a big reason why I came here. And I've definitely found that here, thankfully. It's funny, I didn't know I wanted to come here. I had like a nice little visit my first time. When I came back, I got a tour with-- and I'll never forget this, my tour guide really reminded me of my sister. And so I was just, I kind of felt more at home just immediately. Everybody here talks about a sense of community. But you know, I felt it and I wasn't even part of it yet. We just kept going different places where everybody knew everybody. And it was just, you could feel it. The first tour that I ever took here, I was immediately struck by the beauty of the college. The big draw to me was that Worcester is in a city-- yet, Assumption has beautiful landscaping. When the students stepped foot on our campus, they can expect a campus that has a visual beauty. Students can walk into the pathways on campus here, and bump into a professor, or a staff member, who would stop them and say, How are you doing? And engage with them in conversation. I knew I want to go into nursing since like the beginning of my high school career. And then when I was going through the application process, I saw that Assumption was opening a new program. And I got really excited about that because I wanted to go to a smaller school, not too far from home, and I really felt welcomed on campus. I felt like it was really just like a second home for me. And that I was getting the best of both worlds that I wanted. At Assumption, you see all the student athletes supporting each other, not just because we're student athletes, but we're also all friends with each other. The football team goes to the basketball games. We sit front row, and then we just cheer on everybody. It's truly been a journey that's transformed me, not only like intellectually, and socially, and emotionally but also spiritually. Your spiritual journey is your own. And it doesn't necessarily have to be religious. It could be finding your purpose, no matter how big or small. It's interesting here to find that your vocation is never ending. Your interests are always changing ,and there's so many options here for you to grow as a person.
